The NHS could potentially save up to £1.7 billion each year if hospitals and Primary Care Trusts treated more patients in the home, according to a new report by Bupa, “Taking the Pressure Off.”

Private hospitals who are treating NHS patients have achieved good clinical outcomes and positive patient ratings, according to the latest Dr Foster Hospital Guide.
The guide found that four out of the top five providers of hip replacement treatments were private providers, according to a report from Health Insurance magazine. They were Care UK, Spire Healthcare, UK specialist Hospitals and Ramsay Health Care UK.
